Shu (@rempapaspiceco) met Cherry (@feedthetang) and Wen (@ms.wanton) back in the heyday of supper clubs – we were one another’s sous chefs/ waiters/ hungry guests a glorious decade ago. Cherry’s gone on to host wildly successful Cantonese pop-ups; Wen’s a whiz in the food start-up scene and has a Singaporean takeaway business Miss Wanton; and Shu’s started Rempapa! We’re coming together again in the kitchen at Hackney Chinese Community Centre for one night only, whipping up signature dishes with their favourite Rempapa spice pastes/ sambals.

Shu’s Sayur Lodeh - vegetables and tofu puffs, stewed in coconut milk, with peranakan turmeric & lemongrass rempah

Wen’s Beef Rendang - The Butchery beef shin slow cooked for 10 hours with balinese spiced tamarind rempah

Cherry’s Sambal Seafood - wok-fried king prawns and cuttlefish in red hot sambal and lime
